Actually, printing your own checks is not as difficult as you may think.  The check form is a Crystal report form that can be modified to print the routing and account number using MICR font.  This font is that specialized character set that is at the bottom of your check.  Note for a bank to be able to read it, you will need to invest in a magnetic toner cartridge for your laser jet printer.
